Euro 5 Diesel Vehicle Transition: A Milestone in Emission Reduction

In September, Interwaste proudly introduced the first batch of Euro 5 Diesel vehicles to our fleet, setting a precedent in South Africa's waste management industry. These vehicles represent a significant leap forward in our commitment to reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency. Key features of this transition include:

• Advanced Technology: Our Euro 5 Diesel vehicles incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as improved aerodynamics, drive train efficacy, and SCR/Ad Blue. These advancements result in lower emissions and improved fuel economy.
• Emission Reduction: Through the integration of SCR/Ad Blue technology, we have achieved a remarkable reduction in Nitrogen (NOx) and Ammonia (NH3) emissions. This translates to a claimed nitrogen reduction of 43% and an 80% reduction in particulate matter emissions compared to older Euro 3 vehicles.

Electric Waste Management Recycling Vehicle: Pioneering the Future

In a trailblazing move, Interwaste is conducting a three-month proof of concept with the first electric waste management recycling vehicle in South Africa, operating in the Gauteng recycling region. This innovative vehicle is designed for specific requirements:

• Silent Operation: The electric vehicle operates silently, making it ideal for security checkpoints and client interactions without noise disturbances.
